We are still in need of a President and Secretary. If anyone would like to be on the board please let that also be know.
Pursuant to the by-laws of the Big Sandy Homeowners Associations, the 2024 annual meeting is scheduled on the second Saturday of July: This year's meeting will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 9:00 am in the parking lot area of the beach. In the event of rain, the meeting will rescheduled for Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 9:00 am. Please bring a chair. We strongly urge all members to attend and participate..

New Business
Members who wish to place an item of new business on the agenda should do so in writing on or before July 1 by notifying the Board of Directors. E-mail is an acceptable written notice.
Election of Officers
The Officers of the Big Sandy Association presently consist of three Directors, Treasurer and Secretary. Officers serve one-year terms, so that all positions are available for each year. The elections take place at the annual meeting. The three directors and Treasurer are willing and able to serve another term if nominated and elected. For the second consecutive year, the positions of President and Secretary are vacant. The bylaws state that there shall be three directors and the President must be one of the directors. Members who wish to place their names on the ballot for a position, please notify the Board of Directors in writing on or before July 1. E-mail is acceptable written notice. We invite and strongly encourage you to step forward, run and serve.

Dues and Assessments
The Directors propose that the annual membership dues for 2025 remain at $500. At this time, there are no plans for special assessments.
Proxy Ballots
Any member who does not attend the annual meeting may submit a proxy ballot. Please contact Debbie Villanucci at DV99999999@aol.com if you need one. Please scan and email to Debbie prior to meeting, or send with another member who will attend the Annual Meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Proposal to ban fireworks from the beach, due to damage to boats and risk of fire.
2. Proposal for expansion, or relocation of dock, to increase accessibility of slips.
3. continuing need for secretary/clerk to record minutes; proposal to hire outside service.
4. Need volunteer to update and install names on Big Sandy sign; addition of Manganiello and removal of Bachand.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
1. Charlie Brown is a candidate for Director.
Possible proposal to amend bylaws to expand number of directors from 3 to 4.
2. Paul Mishkin is a candidate for president.
The Maine Nonprofit Statute and the Big Sandy Association Bylaws state that a homeowners association must have a President and a Secretary.
To vote at this meeting ALL dues and other charges billed to you need to be paid in full by July 13, 2024.
